The story of Taikatie [Magic path] weaves its way through the strata of time on Pyynikinharju ridge, musing on the place of humans in nature and in history. We ask whether the progress of events is inevitable or whether we can influence it. Does nature win or does humanity win — or does anyone need to win at all? This walk combines narrative, music and sound design, tracing paths along the ridge amidst the environment where the creators of this piece have found their inspiration, bringing the work to life at its literal place of birth.
Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start time. Meet at the foot of the Pyynikki observation tower. You need a mobile device with an internet connection and headphones to listen to the narrative. The route taken goes through natural forest and is not obstacle-free. We recommend shoes suitable for hiking.
